Bryan Cheddar

Bryan Cheddar, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is a fellowship-trained orthopedic manual physical therapist, educator, and clinical leader dedicated to advancing high-quality musculoskeletal care. He currently serves as Clinic Director at Benchmark Physical Therapy in Norcross, Georgia, and as Regional Clinical Excellence Coordinator for two regions, where he partners with clinicians across the state to improve patient access, optimize outcomes, and elevate standards of care.
Bryan completed his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy through Upstream Rehabilitation Institute and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida International University. He is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and advanced practice.
In addition to his clinical leadership, Bryan is deeply involved in clinician education. He serves as adjunct faculty at Brenau University and as a lead instructor within both the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments (IAMT) and the Upstream Rehabilitation Institute Orthopedic Residency. Through these roles, he teaches a wide range of orthopedic topics, including clinical decision-making, differential diagnosis, spinal and extremity evaluation, and manual therapy interventions. His teaching emphasizes critical thinking, integration of evidence-based practice, and the development of practical clinical skills that translate into improved patient outcomes.
Bryan’s clinical philosophy centers on combining skilled manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and patient education to empower individuals toward long-term recovery and resilience. His favorite moments center around seeing that “lightbulb” go on in clinicians heads when they understand a concept and are able to apply it. He is passionate about mentoring clinicians, fostering professional growth, and bridging the gap between evidence and everyday practice in orthopedics.
